Our number one priority is safety followed by ensuring each dog is comfortable with his/her dog walker(s) and the group. We do an assessment with each new dog and his/her first few walks are solo where we focus on developing a relationship, providing reward opportunities, and having fun! We spend this time building a bond with your dog and working on loose leash skills and manners. Once your dog is integrated into a group, we maintain these behaviors and continue to work on appropriate and polite social skills. Groups are based on a number of factors including temperament and personality. We love to incorporate basic obedience and manners into walks. Engagement, impulse control, thresholds and duration stays are just a few of the things we love to work on!
That’s okay! We have years of experience with dogs who have reactivity, anxiety, fearfulness and other common behavioral issues. We know every dog is not a fan of strangers or can be nervous (or overexcited with dogs). We have the skills and knowledge to set your dog up for success. We emphasize advocating for each and every dog we work with.
Our Charlestown dog walkers love extra time with our pups! Walkers are available to dog sit in clients’ homes which allows your dog to maintain his//her familiar environment and daily routine. Owners will receive daily pictures and updates!
Our employees are top-notch! They are trained in dog body language and communication. Each walker receives hands on training by our owner as well as continued education. All walkers undergo a background check and are certified in Pet First Aid & CPR. And of course, WE LOVE DOGS!
We pride ourselves on knowing every dog as if they are our own (well, almost. We aren't lucky enough to be with them 24/7). We want to know their quirks, joys, fears, favorite treats and spots in Charlestown.
